Hua Qing hot spring 2009 early summer time

Hua qing hot spring:

Today me and Wijbren made decision to go to Hua qing Hot spring. In fact this place is on the bottom of Mount Lin which is 30 Km far from Xian city. There are plenty buses on the Main Bus station behind the train station which every ten minutes go to Hua qing district.

This place was a resort area for emperor around 2500 years ago and kingdom and royal family used to go there especially in summer time for bathing. In fact nowadays is not a great deal to be there ,but it has its won beauty and color and the history behind this is so vivid and spectacular.

The Huaqing Hot Springs is located about 35 kilometers east of Xi'an. Historically , during the Western Zhou Dynasty the construction of the Li Palace was undertaken on this spot. In the Qin Dynasty, a stone pool was built and was given the name Lishan Hot Springs. The site was enlarged during the Han Dynasty, and was renamed the Li Palace. During the Tang Dynasty, Emperor Taizong ordered the construction of the Hotspring.

This place has a romantic story as in legend stories mentioned the emperor Xuan was madly in love with a poor girl and honored here with the name of Lady and had affair with her. He was too much in love and it says her beauty distracted him from his responsibilities and in the end he hang himself to keep her name and his country safe. This place called after her “Hua qing” which means “THE FAIR”.

This place is include the Imperial palace , Museum ,Louts area and a big garden which leads the visitors to the bottom of Mount Lin and there is a station for Cable car for whom have desire to have a bird’s view eyes of the city and surroundings.

This place has a pavilion which was a place for Fung Lady after bathing airing her and her and rest there. In This area there four baths and hot spring which are good and heal muscles pain , arthritis and rheumatism
Anyhow we spent couple of hours hanging around there and pass the Museum and got the bus and back to Xian which was nice day trip in fact..
