There is a big influence of technology in our life .This impact has started from last century and it has gotten bigger and bigger.
Have you never though how we could possibly live without tele-communication devices ,Internet ,Computers and so on?
Internet, telecommunication and multimedia have a great impact on our daily life. There are many advantages to using internet.Comparing 2 generations back or even one give us a better view of life and what changes have happened in our life.
In the 1900s people used to live in a different way and most of the jobs demanded physical power. There were relatively more labor jobs than now. At the end of the twentieth century computers became commonplace and many things changed.
Nowadays most companies require their employees to have specific knowledge related to computers and software programming. In different fields and majors you need to know at least the basics of using a computer. Computers have become indispensible to our society and our life.
Nowadays if you are a woman and have responsibilities at home but worry about work time or a manager who doesn’t want to be in the office for the whole day, using internet becomes a priority. Another example: finding a job online, posting your resume and sending in your application.
Looking for the latest information has changed as well. Just 20 years ago you had to go through magazines, books and newspapers, consuming a lot of time. Now everything becomes available to you in a very short time.
Studying online is another great advantage of using internet. You don’t need to waste your time in traffic jams and consume energy commuting every day: the information and knowledge is available on the internet.
You don’t need to be in your office for 8 hours, as it is possible do your work at home through internet. A lot of advertisement has been made according to internet and a lot of jobs has been developed and expanded due to computer and net works.
Additionally, most of seminars and conferences hold on Net and a lot of social activist do their job through net. Emails and letters and faxes go through net so fast, and all of these are part of our lives in 21 century.
A lot of software costs a lot if you want to buy the original ones, but through online shopping everything is cheap and you can download pile of information and programmers.
There are negative aspects to using the net. For instance: Opening some programs and some sites which might have negative aspects on children...
Internet make some people a little lazy and isolated from society .As they just sit and work at home and not be sociable.More over a lot of spam and junks and pops- up unwanted apear in or mail box and have to be very wise not to open them and spend some time to get rid of them.
To be critical sometime as an adult is incredibly hard to distinguish between right and wrong data and information which come from different sites and author’s .These all can have a great influence on people.
Despite all of these, we can’t ignore the advantage of using internet and the changes in our daily life.

Are there too many advertisments on T.V
We are living in a society full of advertisements and commercials. Basically everyday new products hit the markets. A lot of companies are desperately looking for new potential customers and feeding their rich, old and bossy clients.
They are trying to figure out how to win this competition in a very brutal, competitive environment. It is crucial and unavoidable, because life is changing too rapidly and is too fast-pace. But are all these advertisements necessary or too much? The question is how much is a lot and how much is too much.
According to new research a lot of TV-channels are looking for a way to add more advertisement to fill the poor quality of their programmers. It is considered how much could help them to develop their reputation by adding the number of visitors.
Most of the big companies are sponsoring a lot of T.V channels. They have already captured the society’s desire by manipulating the market and overwhelming it.
For instance, you are watching a TV series, but while you are watching it almost every ten minutes pops-up shows up and BANG!
Another tangible example, in 1980’s companies would think how to make advertisement and think about the importance of using it. Now, however, many in society are thinking about how to get rid of them, because they have saturated the market and some of them are really poisonous. A lot of youngsters even can’t distinguish between an adequate advertisement and bad ones.
We can also go through internet and see how much people have been distracted. Their email boxes are full of spam and junk mails.
To sum up, the importance of advertisement should not be ignored, as it has made a big contribution to our society and business. It has influenced the development and quality of products, aids many customers and helps running business. Stock markets and international trade would not have developed as much without it. On the other hand, that also means they would not have suffered as much as they have lately.

What do we do in our free time!
In our days off we try to do different things together. Well the fact is our hobbies beside few exception ,are pretty resemble ,for instance :I would like reading books or study Chinese few hours everyday and Wijbren is the same.
TO be honest my Chinese during these few month improved a lot as my working hours per week is pretty down compare to my previous job and that what I want at least for a year.
Wijbren doesn’t like Classical Novels and call them chick flicks, but he loves reading politics, Even so he sometimes seems a bit lazy and wants to play computer games for hours, all works somehow. I must confess I am getting used to it, so far .
Couple of times we even had fights during our games and we decided after on not to play against each other ,weather or not seems silly ,but otherwise our relationships ill go suck. We started shouting and killing each other. So from now on whenever I play he leaves the room and try to keep it quite and vise versa.
I am putting it in my schedule to play racing games ,kong fu, tactic games and so on for couple of hours,.
Mot of week days even I would like to put my fingers on the violin strings and make some humming sounds out of it. Almost 3 times per week ,we willlingly go and play tennis and sometimes we do try pool .Actually this weekend ,he suggested that as the weather was freaking hot ,maybe it is a good choice to play pool which is indoor instead.
But the fact is we don’t watch T.V here in China that much, which is an amazing fact. Well understanding the language is one aspect ,but on the other hand we don’t like sticking to T.V for hours.
In fact using internet and downloading movies ,music ,playing games writing articles are more important than stupid T.V’ programmes. why is that so?
Are there so many advertisement on T.V?
We might consider how much T.V is important in our daily life and does effect .If we look carefully around we will notice majority of people watch T.V everyday .As researches show approximately 2-3 hours daily people are watching T.V .
It doesn’t matter exactly what s on there ,but as it has colour and sounds attract people. Even sometimes in some families you can see 2 or 3 .T.V s on ,ne in kitchen and one in bedroom and living room.
Some times there are fights what channel or programme should watch. Even though some of programmes are pretty funky and internet has a great role.
Distinguing between adequete ones and bad ones is pretty hard.So many people even with having high education and enough experience are being poisoned by fluffy and colorful pops-up ad's.
If by chance you notice the crowd shopping in big malls, you will realize mst f them don't knw exactly what they want to buy though .Just something junk is n thier mind and unconsciousely go and pick up something new from the shelf in the mall.
There so many companies which have the high percentage of their products are being sold by T.V.
Whenever you turn the T.V box on after just a few minutes one ad’s pops-up and it goes and goes till kill the spirit of what you are watching. Basically they advertised everything from toothpaste to house loan, from chocolate to new shoes products.
Well, even if I seem to be a bit sarcastic ut in fact we do love sometimes to see and follow those Ad's as they are part of our daily life .Must confess some of them are pretty creative and have made enough contribution to the society.

Our engagement and my brithday at the same time
Our engagement and my birthday:
As I knew In my birthday something some thing coming up I was so excited and I could presume in fact what I am going to receive from my boyfriend.
In fact I should confess we had a great time.
Three days off ,be lazy and decided to go to Korean restaurant which we both fancy about Korean food.
In fact as we both are so alike in everything we always know when we are too happy something coming up as he proposed me and gave me the ring and we were eating I was sad cause this stupid conversation always come up and Wijbren is not happy in China anymore, and Neither I am.
Anyway it was destiny we met 9 months ago and our future somehow has changed from the time we met.
I have always thought I am so considerable and sensible person as the realty come and things happened. Any how. he has changed his mind from few month ago to go back to Europe and I admire him and I accepted it in fact.
We both would like to have a better life as we are both have high education and nothing more than teaching at university might happen to us which is not enough at all.
He wants to work on his field as journalist and I do want to go back to fashion industry .
The problem is as I am holding Iran passport can’t join him and go to Europe easily .I have told him we get married and I wait here and work and pass the process of permanent visa, but he is too worried of losing time and chances to go back to his career and want to fly as soon as possible.
I am thinking his is worried and nervous for marriage too. Sometimes I feel men can’t get it the time that they should.
I will do compromise anything which is necessary but don’t do hasty things which make our situation harder and drift apart.
Well our conversation didn’t reach to any point as none of our conversation do, and no result at the end.
I hope things change during our long trip to Iran and Holland and things get easier.

Dragon Boat festival origin and tradition
Dragon boat festival goes back to 2000 years ago in China. Nowadays in Canada ad USA both celebrate t some times in October.
May 26th was Dragon Boat festival in China, which in lunar calendar is 5th day of 5th month .Basically this time was the time farmers celebrate of having a rainy , summer for their crops and harvest time. This time is actually associated with summer solstice.
As traditionally China has a legendary story about this festival which says: there was a wise man who advised the king how to keep peace in the country and save China from the enemies warrior, but King was haughty and exile him from China .
He was totally upset and drown himself in the river. people who knew him and respect him as a great noble and hero went to the river and used the boating ,paddling in order to find him and keep the Dragon of river away from him, it didn’t work Chinese eat rice and on that time they used to wrap it with leaves and still this tradition exist.( Sticky rice in green leaves)which tasty in fact.
They throw food and rice into river to feed the fish and dragon and keep them away from his body. They used 5 colors to scare the sea animals and nowadays still they make bracelets and kids wear it on their wrist to keep them healthy and safe from evil spirit.
These days in so many small cities in China still go to the river and celebrate it ,but mostly consider as a fun day and having picnic and going out with family and eat sticky rice and cakes .
Me and Wijbren were passing our great time in the mountain climbing up and hanging metal Chinese wire in rocky mountain.

The Europe visa and my trip for summer
During this month I have has so much tension ,and I am a bit fucked up .Me and Wijbren have made up our mind to have a vacation to our both countries.
In fact we would like to meet each other’s parents and we just engaged and would to have some trips around countries together which make totally sense.
As the matter of fact as I am still holding Iranian passport, therefore there are many strict regulations in order to obtain tourist visa for Europe.
In fact this issue was harsh enough to bring up some discussion between us and we both pissed off of so many things and afterward start nagging and complaining about everything and every one.
Our mind was busy over then a month and kind of mind bulging to prepare the documents and ask parents to send invitation letter then here in China it fucked it up and we had to find out where it is gone and get it as some can’t read ENGLISH AND WE MUST WIRTE THE ADDRESS IN CHINESE.
Even though it seems easy, I have to get insurance and book the tickets and get confirmation which is so simple but here took 2 fucking hours to be able to present it to Chinese what we need and a piece of printed paper and more over financially cost me a lot to get a trip by lane to Beijing and get appointment for embassy which is suck.
Then we have to kill our beautiful holiday for around one month to wait for result of visa and don’t in a week or a month it gets ready.
Now I am totally depressed as I am thinking we would like stay longer in Holland and in Iran and we might consider to get married and we need so many documents to get ready and translate .
To be honest I don’t want to lose this chance for marriage as Wijbren want to find a job from September when we are back and leave China and my situation will get harder to get visa to see him or live with him in Europe .
I am thinking about my future job as a designer not English teacher and want to be in Europe sooner to pass some course and get a job.I don't want to be funky andwimpy ,but nfact these period of time in my life is harsh to as through.
The only thing till now was luckily sort out is my job almost finished and I will finish next week with students and Wijbren still has 4 more weeks to go. Sometimes simple thing in life seems so complicated .We are trying to help each other and not screw up with no reason.

Our trip to Hua Shan spring 2009
Trip to Hua Shan,
First of all I am really sorry that I am not able to add photos ,as recently this site is blocked in China and I am using thevproxy site to open it which means can't add any photos.
I am so sad though, btrreaders can understand I am not so pathetic..
back to the story:
We had another short holiday this weekend and decided to go to the Mount Hua, which is located 200 Km on the East part of Xian.
As we used to for our trips we got up around 7ish and get the cab to the train station and surprisingly saw a huge queue in front of us.
Well I admit that mountain is pretty famous in these area ,and as we all(who live in China) know ,in any public holiday every where is jammed and crowed by Pack of locals who are going somewhere.

Chinese citizen who are employed ,in 99% of jobs which they are dealing with ,just have 5 days off per year.
Anyhow back to our trip it was 8ish we started our trip and it took 2 hours to reach to Hua Town. Bus dropped us on the bottom and we saw the gate and plenty of mini busses ready to take people up .

Most of mountains you have to get a cab or mini bus to reach to part of mountain which you can climb.
In fact some mountains are pretty famous and crowed or in peak seasons have so many visitors ,like mount Hua ,which you don’t need to be worried for vehicle as there are plenty.
Some mountains like Mogan Shan near Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, is harsh top get down or climb as rarely mini- buses or taxis give you a lift.
It took around half an hour we reached to the main entrance .and there were 2 different area which you had 2 choices of using a cable car or climb on foot. As majorities get cable we decided for one way till we know about more about distance and areas. I am so happy we did .
Apparently it could take 3 hours and really hard to climb up. We reached to the final station of cable car and our real journey started. By that time we arrived there was almost 12 and we climbed a bit and reach to the North peak which is almost 1800 M .This mountain as Huan Shan( Yellow Mountain) has different peaks and different directions to summit area, after we reached to the North part went back and passed y the only freaking Hostel there.
We were wondering if we could stay over night there ,but it would cost each of us 340 RMB per night and I said screw it .It is not going to happen, so let’s climb the whole freaking day and go back and sleep at night on the bottom which is much cheaper. Moreover we were totally prepared this time with food and snacks and drink as in mountain if triple price for any thing.
So we chose anther direction to the West peak which took another hour and meanwhile we ate .The main problem was ,crowd .Chinese love taking freaking photos for hours and we had to wait for the whole ,entire family over 10 people to get their memorable photos ,then continue climbing. No complain …
Another difference between this mountain and others as I have been to more than 6 mountains in China was chain climbing .
Well you may not believe but some parts were unreachable and we had to hold the rusty chain
and climb peacefully, well it is not fun though in 2000 Meters believe me or not.
We were lucky and ecstatic that could find some other paths to avoid the crowd and have a bit fun climbing and enjoy the beauty of nature.
It was almost 3.30 P.M we decided not to discover the whole mountain range and let climb down and calculated it has been 4 freaking hours climbing up non stop so lets e pathetic and go back..
The way back we decided save more money and even don’t use the cable car so you can imagine how it was. With chain stuff we had to deal half of the way down. but I was so happy it was the way down not up, as it is easier, if you can control not look down.
I have aqua-phobia but I love mountain climbing. So determined not to look down other wise feel giddy and the rest of story would be unfinished.
Anyhow in 2 hours we were down and I hardly could feel my legs and they were completely numbed.
And by that time we saw the bus ready back to Xian ,so decided to back home and sleep in our lovely bed and no point stay a night there.
Anyhow It was great trip though.
