Eventually, my visa had been arrived and I could have managed to get the first air ticket that I could and hoped on the plane and by mid Saturday be in Dublin airport. The trip was long and excruciating with some reasons, but it is over now and luckily I didn’t have a severe jet lag.
It has been couple of days that I am here and a lot of things around house and outside has been done properly. I can say soon I can call it settle down precisely.

My Nights’ life:
As these days I am stuck in Tehran and no ways to download the rest T.V series which I and Wijbren used to watch back in China, so far I have to live on what I do have left.
I am finished with Friday Nights and Breaking Bad which both were great stories, despite some facts that I am not fan of Breaking Bad T.V series, but in total I will follow those whenever can hook up with fast internet.
Anyhow, about The Wire the only T.V series left to see; I could say:
The Wire is one of those investigation’s stories, which happened in dark, gloomy part of a city in America where the population of blacks is approximately 60%.
An action, detective story is set on through few seasons, but the most eye- catching part is looking in a sarcastic way to the police department and put the entire system under a big question mark.
The story starts showing a gang of blacks who live on selling drugs and drug trafficking is a big chance in their lives in order to survive, from kids at young as age 10 are involved as small drug dealers up too women and basically the whole community there have to be somehow dealing with drugs. The thing which amazing in this programmed is the number of players are extravagantly enormous and the scenes that director has chosen are somehow limited but artistically designed to draw the attention in each separate episodes.
In each episode, expressing the police community, expanding in this issue and including each staff personal issues and work issues are tied upon the other hand, gangs in comparison to the deputy of police has a great, organized team. In fact there are two or three groups of drug dears and smugglers who are opponents and trying to keep their own corners in each part of the city and having a incompatible competition one against another.Even though will all this mess there is hardly clues for police to keep on and get to the top ones to cut their line permanently.
Actually, I do enjoy watching Wire and I do recommend it to who are loving detectives, action movies which are based on true storeis.Truly, there are couple of great actors in the movie which embellish it smoothly a deep you sited on the chair till end.

Experience of visiting a remote village, where you are simply not welcomed:
There are a lot of villages which are located in a remote areas totally isolated from cities. A lot of tourist assume that visiting villages specially he ones which are pure, is a great unmemorable experience, but in fact we shouldn’t be that much sure about it.
Honestly, I did love and went to so many villages in Europe and in China, Nepal and some other East Asian countries; it was not spectacular in some ways, but in my point of view, I did enjoy staying here and there shortly; as if to discover a bit more about their life style. To me I had never had chances to be close to nature by all means, living there permanently.
Anyhow, back to the story as I was saying, this village was located in South vest of China , somewhere that women traditionally never cut their hair. My first impression from there was great though, lovely nature so green and stream around and bamboos anywhere and everywhere, but the story didn’t end like this; when I was cycling through small path leading me towards wood, after a while I lost my way and tried to ask for help, people were hopelessly cold and indifferent and when I got into the stream and wanted to getting the boat to go to another path on the other side, I felt I am alone and they are interested in helping. Their dark look and peering at you and glaring is express of not happy to see a stranger around.
Anyhow somehow I sorted out by cycling back and get the last crappy bus to get out of that place, because if it would have stayed at night, I am sure I couldn’t easily find a bed to sleep in or they would have ripped me off.

That’s something I would like to share here with you as a true story, happened to me while I was residing in China.
There are few places in each Chinese cities which considered as ``Walking street`` in local words and basically no vehicles is allowed to get in or out and bunch of tourists and locals every day or on occasions visit there.
There are plenty of local shops and souvenirs established and opened there, as China is a huge countries with 56 nationalities; you can imagine how many varieties of local goods might be able to find there.
Anyhow, in one of these places, I was strolling and not seriously looking for something to get. I passed by a craft shops and they had plenty of silk scarves there hanging in and out.
The guy instead on wearing and try them on. Anyhow I thought that might be a nice thing to get; as back home could be used.
As a matter of fact, I showed not that much eagerness with price or even quality whether you believe or not, conversation went on and eventually he dropped the price more than half and I walked away.
He came after me and way pleased with any price that I offer to get one. Finally, to my surprise after washing once the color run away and I understood even with pretty cheap price was not worth it.

These days’ competitions are pretty tense and high. There are so many people standing in a line to attend on TV shows in order to attend a soap-opera programmed or 20´s questions and some others, like American Idols and so on.
The point is, all these so far are partly for fun and amusement and partly is for gaining big sum of money, which is offered by companies, TV station and so on to promote their products in fact.
This kind of competition in our century is much more than before and one of the main reasons is advertisements. As we all are aware of influence of particularly TV and some other Media in our daily life; we do see the consequences of all these media are so vast and massive.
There are plenty of jobs are established according to advertisement, every year more effective and influence.
Anyhow, besides the important role of different type of media in different aspect of our lives, if we look back through the most advertisements we will notice, selling and interceding any kind of products, one reason is informing to the public and another is mainly in market to appear it, in a better appearance and compete one against another.

The characteristic of the people in your society:
My country, Iran or as its old name ``Persia``, is well-know for its old, oriental over than 5000 years culture and history.
Obviously, in a country as old as mine, there is so money tribes and minorities live; therefore, there is so much influence on language, culture, and people’s characters.
The history of my country goes back to 6000 years before B.C, which that time few tribes from Southern part of Siberia moved down and beside Caspian-sea found a better place to live in. Some others pretty soon moved to the Southern and Eastern part of Persian land and were physically strong and good worriers, so eventually they built a strong and successful kingdom in Persia.
Iran, during centuries has always been under attack of its neighbors, such as Turks, Arabs and even Mongols tribes, partly by the end of 19th century and beginning 20th century from South part of Soviet Union worries were triggered and ambushed down to the frontier of Iran and conquers majority part of Caspian Sea on the North. All these tribes have made a great contribution on culture, and language and made other influences.
Besides all these wars, which if had happened in any countries would have effected on economy and culture and language deeply; we do have a lot of minorities such as: Kurdish, Turkish and Lori’s people who live vastly in all part of Iran and have their own rituals, ethics, and cultural/characteristic heritage.
Iranian race as known as Aryan race, who they do have Parsi as an official language, are people of wisdom and intelligent and hyper in emotions and feelings, which some called them, warm-hearted and extremely hospitable.
Culturally and naturally having a rich background, but as a matter of fact, politically and financially in every half century have had instability and crisis with different reasons.
Contrary to European or American the amount workload is less and people are not appreciating too much work. Moreover, a lot of people still live in big families and so many cases have been seen to send the elderly to nursing home, but still children care for parents. Marriages happen as Children wish, but still influence of parents’ advice and relatives has a great role.
To conclude is not so hard to distinguish a pure Aryan race with other ethnic groups, as they do have their own rituals and ceremonies and even their own language in the same country. Hospitality and warm social manners and intelligence are the most distinguish things to point out about Iranian or Persian.

The teachers or schools have affected on you:
In this generation, children from an early age are accustomed to be at per-school and then follow up school. So; schooling is a very sensitive job and great responsibility towards new generation. It was not used to be even 50 years ago, when kids wanted and could stay at home up to age seven.
A lot of psychologists and counselors are strongly in this believe that from earlier age, such as 4 or 5 year old, kids need to be in social contact, being with other kids and feel atmosphere more than home, in order to become strong and build their personalities; which shows how much the responsibility of teachers, day cares and even baby sitters important are.
In fact, after mothers, who always have had the first and a great role teaching and raising up the children; teachers are the second ones, even though in older ages could be the first person to refer to.
Some people would not understand the difference between a good teacher and just a person who gives some lessons to the students.
My point is, there is a big difference and a great importance of being just a teacher and academically be professional or being literally a caring-teacher. With do all respect, in some stages of life, such as primary ages, kids specifically do need a caring teacher with great personality, strong character, patient and emotionally supportive.
We do see in a such a sensitive age as teenage hood, there are always problems and if they do have a persons who can talk to with no hesitation and consult or even the time that there is no problem receive and follow behavior ,ideas of somebody as a teacher can make a great difference in their future life.
If we interview and ask a lot of successful and happy people in societies, they always say and have good memories from school time and at least from one or two teachers they have had, so far.

A person’s life can change overnight:
A lot of people may not believe in destiny or fate at all.
In a place I used to work till a month ago; at university in China, this topic was brought up a couple of times, as a general topic to break the ice in some conversation classes.
My students’ majorities were about 24-25 years old, but compare to western students, having had less life experiences. Anyhow, some of them who were more comfortable tot talk about their personal lives use to say in China we believe in so many rituals and a lot of older generations are strongly superstitious.
Some other would say, life is not that easy to get change easily. They said, they spent their childhood in a boring dull countryside, routine study life and did their best to get into university and now here they are. Even so, some wanted to think about further possibilities in their lives, but mostly would come up that’s the life no further hopes or even thought.
Some used to confess they must work hard to get a job and save money and hardly any unexpected events might turn over their lives in other direction.
Personally, that’s a reality of so many lives, but there is a tiny-tiny possibilities which a lot of people pass and don’t see through it very well.
When I look back and see my life, which was in Iran similar to Chinese life style in some points, even though I grew up in a very relaxed and high class family, but it did happen to me.
Around 15 years ago, I have got my first computer, in order to work on art and just liked it. In few years afterward, I connected to internet and it just happened once after deceiving an advice from an online friend how to find a way to look for some relevant sites in order to apply for a job in China.
Anyhow, it stretched for over years of my life working there and so much ups and downs and adventures and trips and my life totally changed, ended up meeting my husband from other side of the world, my career has changed, as well.

Languages±
When we are talking about European languages, means a category of at least 15 different languages, which are mostly spoken in EU nation.
Actually, there are some more tangible differences more than similarities, among Northern Europe, Southern and Easton part; however, almost all Europe’s languages come from Latin background, but for instance in North part and German area the routs are German- Celtic, and Celtic- English or Anglo-English.
Southern part Italian and Spanish have much more in common to present.unlike, Eastern Europe has got an old, distinguish heritage from Russian language which is totally different in alphabet and grammar with other Europe part, covering most Baltic nation and former Soviet Union countries.
But despite these differences, similarities are mostly in common of alphabet, pronunciations and basically the route is.
On the other hand, as it comes to Middle East, Central Asia and India, alphabet is the most enormous difference in compare with European languages. The system of writing is is from right to left, not left to right and obviously different structure of writing and pronunciation.
As if, we move forward toward East, for example: Chinese language, which is dominated in whole East Asian countries related to historical events and political aspects, is the hardest language in the world to learn.
In fact, they don’t even have alphabet and are all symbols are known as:``Characters``,which is growing according to your knowledge and leaning more the language, combination of characters, tunes and sounds make new words. As you learn more characters you will be able to read and realize more about language, which is totally different from Middle Easton or European languages.
You learn the alphabet and sounds In other languages, so then we have done half of the task cause you are able at least in a certain level, to read or write the language, even though sometimes can guess the words, as similarities appears.
As a matter of fact, Chinese or Japanese which has a heritance of Chinese route and even Korean are totally come from Mars.

We are living in 21st century, the time of development on summit, expansion in economy, industry, and globalization on the whole. What these definitions related are to success, might be a question.
Firstly, if we look through the history or human civilization, we get into this point that in each era of man kind, people, nations were looking for success for themselves and a better life for their families, but the main point is in century a matter of being successful was a bit different and obtain it was harder or easier, regarding to societies development, education, chances in life and facilities to gain at that time.
Moreover, for instance; at this century to be successful by all means, is a matter life or death for so many; cause of modernization, fast paced development and very sensitive- competitive society that we are hacking.
In fact, if we want to define ``success`` means to be on top and have a great satisfaction inside. How we can be successful and obtain it for some people is so essential and some other just catches it, easy as a pie.
To some, having a decent job and settled down, have a happy family is end of the case, but some other, who are not few at all, success means having a great stability in their finance, which can solve anything for them as they wish to have and desire to.
For instance, celebrities in any field, such as art, media, fashion, or any other filed; success has a totally weird definition.
Some people are naturally hyper active and have high goals in life, and got inherence of ambitions; so these people may not be easily stand in the position that they have in society, cause doesn’t last long for them.
They do love to be admired every now and then and be in public view and in one word to be famous, for their money, social status and their fame as well.
To sum up, being successful and how to obtain it and what the limitation and boarder of success is, all depend on each person how they think about their life and levels of satisfaction. Success is nothing more than be happy and enjoy of effort of doing for life and living in a good condition with less stress and safe.

Wednesday March 10, 2010:
It was another active week-day for me.I do really enjoy having some of my students, for instance, my Wednesday classes go really well.I must confess the second class students are a bit lame and slouching into their seats, as Architectures are just god at drawing.
As a matter of fact, I am proud that I could increase their motivation,, even though switch the topics according to their major as much as possible.
Today I could make them active by role playing and organizing an opening of an art gallery. They had to right down the entire activities and scheduliing, prepartions and act out in the class. It did work well!
For some other classes, even I have noticed they love acting and role plays so I have expanded the topics and activities, which were for instance, recite a short story according to few pictures and act out.

How dating and mating running in China:
Yesterday, we decided to take away the food; in meantime we were waiting in the restaurant.
I had noticed a boy and girl were dating .His face was full of big huge pimples looked like moon surface and he was coughing and sneezing all over.
In China they feel embarrassed or it is not tradition to use the tissue when the sneeze, so they make it so natural releases it into the air. At this point we are talking about dating here.I was talking to Wijbren and he had the same opinion too. If he was in my country he could never ever had a dream of having a girl, but her here, such nice naïve girls are always ready for date!.
Well no insult of offence to any nation, but in China, maybe due to high population or what I don’t know exactly, but I see nicer girls in matter of appearance than boys. One thing is good and for sure boys can find somebody even if, they are not that much good looking, but in some other countries they have to face with loneliness.

Entitled, Mob Romance :(I was reading a news in the Guardian bog today, which I refer you too that romance by numbers: Chinese girl's lonely heart advert attracts mob
Girl sought man to charm her in Cyrano de Bergerac style but instead was met by scene reminiscent of Brave heart)
It is about singles day in China and express the way those girls approach and organize tasks for boys and write down the name in the wall, follow up on a certain day when they have done the task they come and shout the girls name .Well, this is the way goes in so many Universities which are the first place girls and boys properly can start dating, which takes few years up to sleep together and have relationship so alike westerns.

Receiving awards is a great feeling.
I assume a lot of us in different occasions have received, achieved prizes and rewards. Attending in national or international ceremonies, receiving certificates or graduation time in high school or university time are all special moments for anybody.
I do remember my first prize; when I learned how to swim well and I just turned to six; it was a great feeling. I do still have the car toy that I have received for my parents.
When I was 10, I started painting and playing violin. After a couple of years, when my art reach to a point proudly appear in public, I realized how flattering is to receive applause, prize or any kinds reward.
In the past, receiving rewards were just belonged to nobles, soldiers and people who have killed enemies of king or queen or defended the country during the war time.
But after, industrial, Cultural Revolution and modernization, social respects and values has changed in different ways.
Nowadays, not just soldiers or nobles due to their heroic actions or defend the frontier and kill the enmies, receive rewards.scientists or writers, directors and artists in fine art or visual art, such as cinema and theater getting particular national or international, such as Nobel prize, Oscar.
In some occesions, if the person has done a great job might receive his/her reward personaly from hand of president or king which calls as a great honor.

Increasing population of senior citizen:
To start with, statics in different many fields show so many changes in 21st century, and one of them is increasing the population of the world; specifically number of senior citizens.
We are aware of population is increasing and there are some logical reasons behind this fact. First of all, if we consider the advance medical system and treatment and compare it with even half century ago, then it will be obvious that how many people from infants till elderies are surviving from fetal, chronic disease which non of them were doable couple of decades ago
.
Personally, since a century ago the penicillin had been discovered, has made enormous difference in medical surgeries and treatments. The diagrams of health from a century ago are rapidly rising up.
Moreover, not just just due to better health care, but also using more nutritious and enjoying regular exercises, are some other elements which are most effective of longer life.
In fact, it is a good and bad news for our globe. The most advantage of increasing age is everybody can enjoy longer life span, seeing longer generations after us and be healthier due to advance medical system, which is all these are personal advantages for people and their families.
On the other hand, even though, older people seem to be healthier than before, but still after retirement age and afterwards they might feel a bit isolated from society and get disappointed of a boring ,dull long life.
In conclusion, I do believe all these are depend on society, health care, family care, and personal perspective of life style that make a long life happy, positive, even active or destructive and dull.

Description of Tehran:
Tehran is the capital of Iran and have a population of over 17 millions. There are few small cities have built in outskirts of Tehran which so many years ago were not like this at all.
There are enormous number of skyscrapers have been built, only in couple of decades, which have made the appearance of city totally different, but have attracted so many people from small counties to the capital city.
I was born in this city and I am fond of living here, but recently when I came back after being away for years from Tehran, I have realized the pollution, heat and traffic is a big issue, which brings hatred of some people staying in, nomore.
Tehran became capital city of Iran in 19th century and afterwards till now have been atrracting so many politicians and businessmen into the city and distircts around.
This city from three parts surrounded by Alborz range which is an avantantage and disadvantge as well.First of all Alborze mountain is pretty high and Tehran is a located in plateau area .Secondly, these mountains are acting like a huge wall against the wind, so that means a lot of pollution stagnantly stay in the air, most of the time.
Theran was famous for its cold, long and snowy winter and hot and dry summer. It has been a while that amount snow has been reduced.Summers are getting hottter and hotter, therefore a lot of Therany people in summer time spend most of their weekends or holiday in the North part of the city on the bottom of moutain besides the rivers and streams.
A couple of weeks ago, I took my husband Wijb over there and he loved it.There are still some nice woods and river and we did some water pipe and nice faty-diet dinner.
In this industiral and cosmopolitan city you can find enurmous number of theaters, cinemas and resturant with national and international cuisins.Number of univerisities and hospital are out of control.
Our new governer has been made enough effort to make the appearance of city greener and has done a great job, surpisingly.

Trip to Shiraz July 2010
Trip to Shiraz 2010-07-20
After Wijb stayed for a week in Tehran, then we decided to go on a trip to Shiraz.
I wanted to show part of Iranian culture and Old Persian Empire to Wijb to have something nice and cultural in his mind from Iran, on his first impression.
I thought the best way for me and Wijb is to be on tour, so I have got tickets for Wednesday 9th to 16th July.
Starting at 5 am on Wednesday and got to the airport and after a long trip with one our delay arrived to Shiraz airport. Our tour leader had made a great effort to find everybody and put us all together in a mini-van going toward the hotel.
On the way to the hotel, we passed from two big historical parks with history of couple of hundred years.
Shiraz is famous for beauty of its parks; poem and poetry. Summers are not the best season to visit, but during autumn and spring all streets are full of orange trees and aromas spread all over of the town.
Anyhow, our hotel was a four star located in center of the city but far away from traffic. The good part was around hotel we could find couple of local restaurant which was a chance for Wijb to try out local cuisines as well. We got some kind of soup and some Kebabs cooked in a traditional way.
In three and half day we stayed there. We visited Saadi and Hafez tombs that both are among the most famous from 6th century, in Iranian literature; their poems have been translated into so many languages in the world.
There are few castles inside the city left which worth watching.
The most spectacular place which has artists, historical background ad unfortunately partly left is Persepolis and Pasakard, both defined as world heritage and are symbol of old Persian empire.
These two places are 60 km far from city and it took us an hour to get there. It was pity that heat was annoying, but listening to the historical histories and knowing more about cultural heritance was great though.

It has been couples of days living with my parents without Wijb.
We had to buy his ticket to Ireland a few days earlier than our expectation, as all tickets for the date we were planning were sold out.Wijb had to pay a bit more even though.
During these couple past days, I was working hard to make copies and emails embassy and send documents to be translated. Anyhow, as every single Iranian knows things in Iran always been complicated and put big stone in front of you. I would say “another milestone” in my life.
Translation place has been making excuses till now about Iranian marriage certificates that we have got in Holland from Iran embassy.I need them to show as marriage documents.
Irish embassy just accepts English translation of stuff and we married with Dutch regulation and apparently I am the only one here with this particular problem.
The only good news is Wijb as got a nice place for us and I have seen the pictures. It is one bedroom cozy house, close to the city center, tram, bus routs with a lovely small back yard which is particular for me. Moreover, close to Wijb’s work place.
I do feel he has been working these few days over there to make essential things for starting work properly and efficiently.Having a meeting with manager and starting work on Monday can be called another good beginning, hopefully.

Sunday July 4, 2010:
Yesterday we went to have a pizza and some milkshake in our department store, called Markaze-Tegari.This place for who used to live in Sharak is so familiar and brings up memories as well.
Price of products and even food products has incredibly increased .I was telling Wijb, here in Iran people live with Euro price, but income for so many is still Rial in fact.
Wijbren during these few days has noticed high inflation in Tehran, as we go to the supermarket or some other place to get some food or drink.
Yesterday Wijb got his ticket to Dublin. The interesting part is few days ago they mentioned they had empty seats on the plane and price was duable, but just after 3 days the whole flight was packed. So, we had to buy another flight 3 days earlier and more expensive one.
Now, after coming back from Shiraz trip Wijbren can just stay another 2 days in Tehran. Time really flies so fast.
These days we are planning got to the Alborz Mountain; in fact the based camp in Tehran, a local, traditional place on the bottom of Alborz range. Truly, I would like to escape from heat of Tehran, and as far as I am concern Wijb likes mountains, rivers and streams.

Back home after years:
It has been 4 days passed from our arrival. Our flight was so long and irritating. We flew from Beijing via Urumqi to Tehran.
In fact instead of 8 hours, took us 12 hours on board.Urumuqi is the capital on Xingjian anonymous region in China, located on North West of the country.
Anyhow, by the time we arrived was almost 10.30 p.m on Saturday evening. My mum and dad were waiting for while. It was such an unforgettable moment for me after 4 years seeing my parents so happy and excited.
We had spent these couple of days organizing our staff and getting used to living here.Theran weather is so hot nowadays and wearing uniform and scarf make it worse. Pollution is pretty high though.
I have missed home-made cooking and it has been such a pleasant time to eat Iranian dished after a while.Wijbren, loves Iranian food and especially snacks and cookies, such as Sohan, Baglava and Pistachio.
We have been spending some times in parks and some places close by in Sharake-Gharb.Wijbren and I was both been pretty busy to organize some stuff.
I have already booked our trip to Shiraz .I is hopping it works out well and show Wijbern the history or Old Persian Empire, which presumably is part of dignity and pride of all Iranians.
Changing Chinese money and connecting to the internet and get a new mobile line, as all are simple thign is such pain in butt here.
Being far from home in years means you have forgot so many things further more, things have got more complicated or much more annoying in some points.
The funny part is during thee few days I have had few times problems with money and recognizing the correct amount of it, meanwhile we were doing some shopping’s!.
Everything, is so expensive and inflation in Iran is unbelivable.Things are three same value of Euro but payments and incomes are according to Rial (Iranian currency) is great isn’t it!
My Dad wanted to present a suit for Wijb because of our marriage so, we went to Hakupian, which is the most fashionable stylish hand made suits for men design, here.
I am planning to show Wijb some museums in the North of Tehran and possibly we go to the bottom of Alborz Mountain to have a picnic there.

Saturday June 26, 2010,
Today is the last day of our stay on Wednesday in China. We arrived in Beijing on Monday and it was such a peasant flight, and then had to rush to the embassy to stamp the visa for Wijbern.
By the time, we got there was almost noon and surprisingly we received a very polite and homely attention and got the visa shortly. If I knew that for the beginning we could stay shorter in Beijing.
Anyhow, I had Dutch exam in Embassy on Wednesday. From my childhood I have had always fear for examinations. So far thing got much better after receiving the test result. I had to stay in embassy for a while and tempted and irritated. I passed with a very good mark and I am really delighted of 4 months spending time and effort on Dutch language.
As a matter of fact, I missed some part of exam due to bad connection via phone with examiner. I didn’t like oral exams on the phone in a long distance which is annoying and it was computer on the other side, so they never give you enough time to think, recap or either any hesitation.
We had 2 more days to rest in Beijing and do final shopping in fact.
I am really pleased of my stay around 7 years in China, met my husband 2 years ago and travelling to so many countries before and after wards, my English rapidly improved; I have had a respectable job, but I must confess, we both have done what we wanted form here and before it gets ore annoying living here it is a time to eave peacefully.
I am so happy after years going back home to see my family share moments with them, especially dad sickness is a matter.
I am hopping soon plans work for going to Ireland and visa process and things work out as we planned, because I and Wijb scarified so many things till now and caught things as well for something better and different.

June 20, 2010
June 20, 2010;
Today, is our last day staying in Xian? I have been working here for one and half year. Couple of months ago, we decided to make our mind eventually and notify school for our absence in next term.
Wijbren persistently was looking for a job in both Holland and Ireland to see how things work.
I have been studying Dutch relentlessly as well. I am actually ready for Dutch state exam holding at embassy 3 days from now. In order to get permanent visa for Dutch states; I have to pass that exam first.
We have had so much tension and streets due to getting job on time and plans for furutre.Hopefully, if everything works, a job agency offered a vacant position as advertising and co-operation between Ireland and Nederland’s in his agency for Wijb.He had to have 3 interviews in row and eventually reached t an agreement. After the first relief ,I have been working hard to find out some courses somehow related to my major and reserved some places up to be able to get into in Ireland.
These couple of weeks working hard to finish the course at University as soon as possible and handover the documents, negotiations and punishments which we had to pay for our resignation is not easy to pass through.
Anyhow, it is the last day here, and tomorrow early morning we are heading to the airport with the earliest flight get into Beijing and heading towards Iran embassy to apply for Wijbren visa.
He and his family panicky passing the times are not sure how safe Iran could be for Wijbren.I feel bad and down and worried as well. It is his first trip and I would love to show places to him and my family, impatiently are counting for our arrival. I have been home for 4, entire years.
I have just told them his time; I have to stay few months to get hopefully Irish visa, which has its own process and storyline. We are sending Wijb by the June 16 or 17 to Ireland and hoping he can send over the documents as sponsorship for accommodation and job security for me and then me an able to apply for visa.
I have to sort out stuff in Iran and get ready for my next challenge in life though.

June 10,2010:
By this time, last year we were dealing with marriage documents and preparation. I was counting down to receive the news from embassy in order to precede my visa.
These couple of few weeks has been literally tough and harsh for both of us.
Wijbren is looking for a job and back in Europe. As a bad luck or bad timing it is matched with aftermath of crises with EU currency and Greek debts disaster which has a great effect on whole entire EU members.
So far, he has been interview by couple of recruiters, but unfortunately time is limited for us and situation is hectic.
We have decided to visit Iran finally and I am hoping soon see my parents after four years and sort out my life over there (partly left behind in Iran)
I am going to make it work this time and come back to finish my contract and live separated from Wijb which was not an easy decision, but there is no other choices, keep finance in balance and let it works in an easy way.
Ireland and Holland are two options we are thinking, and in meantime we are injecting extra classes for university to end up at least a week or two earlier in order to get visa for Iran.

It is almost end of another semester at University.
From couple of days ago traffic has changed and streets at least the ones around us are much more organised.Yesterday, after I had finished my extra teaching classes at noon, I noticed there were couple of polices, controlling the traffic.
Everthing seemed to be very pollished, organised and no noises around, which is so impressive here!.
Firstly, I thought the sever control and protection might be due to holocaust and school scandal, happened couple of months earlier in some cities.
As this area is severely controlled by government, because of university and official communities where we live, including some schools inside.
Anyhow, today some clues pop-up.As a matter of fact, it is another year and season for Universities entrance exam, which is called “Kaogao” in Chinese.
To me, the time I was attending and preparing for University’s exam is still so clear and bright. I can definitely describe it well with a bit embellishment, in fact.It has been so many years passed from that time, but I bet it was a nightmare for all us even great students. This condition called in China “Fate of your future life”.
Yesterday, more than millions of students attended in examination and parents waiting for the result .Some they were praying in temples and burning incence, litting candles, waiting for the time the kid’s get out of hell or hall of exam.
There is so much pressure, expectation and enforcement coming through parents, as all of them want a better future in such a competitive society.
Recently, the number of students from rich middle- class families who can jump out of this fuss and afford to go abroad for further study has expanded.
There is a beautiful article which describing the bitter truth of Chinese education system so far: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/chinese-pupils-prepare-to-sit-the-exams-that-will-decide-their-fate-1994955.html

Recently I have downloaded a couple of nice Pc games .In fact, wijbren is main the reason for that.
I am planning when he leaves I have a good collection of Pc games for a while like a bee.
We are kind of addiction to playing X-360 box games, but I am just doing it as a favor to myself, other wise keep studying and reading drives me nut, soon or late.
My favorite one is Ice-vale and dale and Civilization 3, but now I am ready to fall for the longest Journey. All these games are role playing games, which make the screen cool and colorful, in addition many adventures with less violence.
Dungeon and Dragon is Wijbren’s favorite game which has a great memory in his mind. I am not that much familiar to these kind of games but getting used to.
Actually, I am thinking when we get our own place maybe every weekend find some nice friends to come around and play these kinds of board, role playing games. You have to create your own characters and give them priorities, and abilities to do things in the game with different missions and mean time you can have fun with friends and act like a nerd.

Recently everything IS so hooked up, strangling, annoying and irritating us.
Few days ago, we received some news that we have extra open class on Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
In fact, I was lucky to have a full schedule and not be able to take it, but Wijbren who has less hour teaching has to do it.
Wijbren came back from the class and said people from the street came to the class, as they have advertised for that.
In and out students, moreover they expected to have two hours non break .Being with random 30 fellows hanging out in basketball play ground is not so palatable thing on the earth.
Recently, his classes are in mess and it affects on our life as well.We both are tired of teaching and extra things as we want and need to do.
Some of his classes are till 9 p.m and this period is a bit hard though.
He days ago on weekend he burst out of nerves and fussy face and made me depressed as Wijb can’t write his novel very well and precise as before .
I am packed with Dutch study and it is on my nerves and sometimes I am stressed out, still have to drag my Chinese reading and English news and projects for work as well, we have short time to rest and we sleep over than 9 hours and still exhausted.
I am counting down and looking forward to for May holiday from now in 3 weeks to have few days break in fact.
Anyway life is ups and downs and I bet it is for every body, every now and then.

Spring is out of our doors here and especially in our campus area; all fruit trees are bleary blossomed and small buds with different colors are spreading their fragrance everywhere and are itching your nose, for sure.
I do love this season, especially for a while weather stay from 15 to 20 degree, which is perfect. Today I received, some good news that on Monday classes are already canceled, as it is Chinese Tomb-sweeping (a clebrationfor remembrance of dead relatives and beloved ones and cleaning Tombs).
Anyhow, we will have Easter in few days and I have colored eggs, then going to get some chocolates for Wijb.Tomorrow is Sizdah-bedar and today is April fool.
I have already got a nice trap for Wijb with a silly joke!
I am hopping tomorrow to get some nice pineapples and strawberries which are pretty much famous in this city for this season….
Planning for cooking Kuku sabzi and pancakes…mmmumm
Need to rush to the kitchen, presumably…

It was such a night mare time.
Recently, I have been having so many weird dreams. For so many years I thought I won’t be able to remember my dreams.
Anyhow ,now I know it is not so good ,as it shows how much my brains is so busy and most of the time after sleeping 8 hours minimum ,I feel exhausted.
As a matter of fact, in middle of one dream one night, I woke up and first thought I am still in dream and somebody wake yanking and yelling louding, hammering and kicking the door.
Fortunately, it was not our door was our neighbours’, but the point is, it continuously went on and on for more than an hour and by that time, I checked the time was almost 2 in the morning.
It is so rare these kind of maniac actions happened, but definitely that dude was nuts or a bastard drunk.
Nobody said anything or did anything.I was wondering wheather they had called the police or not, but no reaction or show up.
Well sweet lord the next 2 days we were listening to the perfect, musical hammering and renovating sound from our neighbor.

This week, I had my actual week after Persian New year. My Wednesdays goes sucks, just because of second class are my Architecture students, who I care about, at the same time feel kind of hatred or disgust about their reaction towards lessons.
This week, we are working on Easter activities which I thought might be constructive. In fact, in all classes till now, they have got it nicely and some were surprised, presumably in my classes everything goes very seriously, in fact!
As, I am working on Western education system which comes with activities and develop self –esteem on the students by building their characters in the role plays and games, not just stick to the book.Everynow and then, I skip some activities from book and lead them towards other things, but some get it and some still are in cage of chicken feeding system!.
Anyhow, I discovered most of them slept just 3 hours last night and some showed up late, some missed the class and some left for second hour.
It turned me off, as they were not responding, as even like any other weeks.
I have realized they a project to do.It is kind of wondering, why in Chinese education system some lessons should be compulsory for some majors.
Like English, for master Architectures, who they have no time to be there if they are there their brain psychologically is dead, so what the point is.

Sunday March 28, 2010:
We had a great, pleasant weekend this week. From our University’s department has been asked if anybody wants to go on a day trip.We spent, approximately, 4 hours in bus from Xian to get to Hangzou.
The city itself is well known for its dam and water pipe system. The way to get there we passed through a lot of mountain ranges. The city was a very small county, but out-skirts was great to visit, as it was full meadows of yellowish kind flowers, which they take vegetables cooking oil from it, and fields of tea.
In fact, they were enormous number of bee keepers, left and right.I was so tempted to get some natural honey, but later discovered, even there they had added so much sugar to honey Wax, which isn’t worth trying it.
The whole team was include mostly Chinese teacher and their family and just 6 of us (foreign teachers). We slept overnight in a four star hotel. But, I must confess it was like a common 3 star in big cities.Well, it was durable for one night, no complain. The bedding was great, but single glazed –windows are killer in most places in China.
We had comparatively, pretty great trip with this Chinese team and no one was that much annoying. We managed to play Chinese cards and that was fun though.
The whole Saturday as, it was pretty tight schedule; we had to run from one place to another, but luckily they deleted one programe.
The first spot was visiting a special Temple and it was kind of bird’s –eye-view towards the meadows and fields. We took privilege of our professional local photographer to have plenty of nice pictures. They spoiled us a bit , as we were just married.
Moreover, we stopped twice morning and afternoon in different meadows to take some artistic picture.I did enjoy the smell of flowers around and annoying bees on the other hand.
It was great restaurant in our second spot, visiting dam and river. The restaurant was famous for its fish and eel.So we had plenty, plus different kind of weirdo green vegetables which are unique on that area. Spicy, sour and sweet taste all together made a great combination for our digestion for the rest of the day.
It was great to have a chance of walking in path around the lake which never ended. We spent almost 2 hours walking around.
The way back were a bit laming time and they cut the plan for Xinxiang restaurant into another nice place tough for dinner time?
We arrived around 12 midnight; while I was in sleep walking try to get the way back home.

Sunday March 21, 2010:
Today is the first day of spring according to Iranian calendar.
In fact with time zone in China it was almost midnight which Vernal Equinox happened. Believe or not I and Wijbren were sleeping. I must confess during my life till now, whenver it happens after midnight the year changes I am in bed.I know sound is pathetic, but it is me!
Anyhow, I have managed to make a proper (Haft Sin) and I am going to keep it. Especially my sprout grows very well which is a good sign. I am not superstiousor what, but it is a national ritual.
Anyhow, tomorrow will be a working day and my friends back in Iran will have 2 weeks off. I am kind of jealous that I don’t even have Christmas off here, as China is not a Christian country either, or a Persian land.
But I do have Chinese off, for good sake.
The weather is hot and excruciating, hopefully from tomorrow the temperature will drop.
Today we had New Year lunch feast, which was a sea food Buffet.
In Iran we have a tradition of eating Fish for the first day of New Year.
I made it works, somehow.

Two days left till Nuwrooz.Iranian New year, 3765 according to Zoroastrians and 1389 in Persian calendar.
I am counting down, for another new year far from homeland and spend it this time as a second year of our sharing life with Wijbren in Xian.
I am totally prepared, as I have planted my Lentis grains to make a healty sprouts, plants are ready, just waiting for flowers to receive them as well. My Haft -Sin is 6 sin, but it is ok.
Today, we are going for shopping. I am going to get some eggs to color them plus some fruit as well.
One canny idea pops up in my head is, instead of bread I use pancakes for our Haftsin, our coins are Euro this time and our vinegar is 3 types of Chinese jiang (sauces). Here in China, I can’t find gold fish and in some points it is not too bad, because I am really light hearted and can’t see that poor creature dying here.

Wednesday March 17, 2010:
Few days ago, we received news from management that they are organizing a short trip to one of the mountains around Xian. I and Wijbren have already discovered 2 famous mountains around Xian, but apparently we have missed this.Actually weather is nowadays getting warm and balmy which is too soon for summer, and is too scorching for spring.Yesterday temperature was 15 and today has reached up to 25.I am hopping it drops again, at least for a month or more.
I am looking forward to next weekend rummaging through pebbles and rubbles up there with a Chinese group.Having an over night sleep up there might be a great adventure.
This weekend, Wijbren started with planning to go to the silk market and made his mind eventually to find a proper Chinese tailor to make some Silk shirt for himself. In fact, he has started with one shirt to see the result.
We are planning to make some coats done, as the prices are reasonable.

Tuesday March 9, 2010;
Today I have a day off and I was planning for weekend from now what to cook and organize the stuff which is needed to be done.Wijbren is good at cooking and loves it, further more.
It is good to have a partner like that. We had a great weekend with my potato salad and his spicy, stir fried, fresh vegetable dishes plus noodles and eggs which I call it a success.
I am planning we get some fresh fish, vegetables from the market as in this season is the best before it gets too warm for sea food, and let Wijbren explore and develop his cooking talent.
Finding good seafood restaurant here is a challenge, more importantly it is too expensive. We do love eating more than enough sea food and they are full of phospor, which is food for brain, as we do study nowadays a lot.

Today is Easter and presumably we should have some chocolates and colored eggs.
I am not Christians and Wijbren is not too religious either, but I do love to put our differences in cultural, traditional activities and ceremonies together; as firstly make us feel more homes, secondly make us closer and more respectful to eahother, and thirdly it is partly fun, and has a great time with family.
Anyhow, I still have our colored eggs from Noruz but today must buy some Chocolates and possibly make some spring pancakes which originally in Iran we make just basic pancakes.
In fact, with a bit creativity you can have your own recipe am going this time to have banana and pineapple pancakes with honey dressing or cheese dressing in some basics.
These days due to spring I have been super active cooking some kuku( Iranian vegetables pancakes) and making batter and nice filling for side dishes…..

Yesterday was another day for Wijbren to glitter his talent in cooking. We do love sea food; moreover I appreciate our local market close by.I have always been wondering that oe day we go there instead of passing all the time in big luxury department stores and chain supermarkets.
Anyhow, my facial expression and my Chinese plus my appreance helped us without being ripped off get a nice fresh fish, but the point is here traditionally the fish monger molested him fish in front of your eyes. You must have devil heart or a total nerd not to feel anything.
I knew, it is going to blast when Wijb see that scene.
As a matter of fact, he slammed the fish harshly on the floor and still breathing cut its stomach and in mean time the poor creature was maneuvering in his hand took out its guts and released him from life.
Well, the fish dish was perfectly done and luckily we didn’t have any night mare, at least not me!

Today is the last day of this working week and I desperately looking forward to the weekend.
Last night when we slept as usual time, this morning I could hardly managed to get out of bed at nine in the morning, which was so rare to believe.
I have been studying 2 languages and keep up my teaching plans at the same time moreover, in meantime my body is trying to adjust after jet lag to the time and work load.
I have strong tendency, which keep me aware that I am losing weight, already!.It is possibly Chinese tea and hot waters.
Today my students cheered me up as they were working so hard for the topic. This week we talk about movies and cinema, but unfortunately we discover cinemas are incredibly expensive in China, especially for studnets.Thye can’t afford it or they don’t have time to breathe infect.
Moreover most of them, going for Romantic movies and just few possibly choose comedies or documentary. If you ask them describe a Chinese movie then it goes unconsciously through old, classic style of love stories.
No offence, I was reading news in The Guardian and I have notices this year they have asked for more Romance Novels to be published as the common costumers are sweeping all the Romantic Novels, despite rubbish and dirty cities, poverty conquer and jobless are struggling in New Delhi.
I think it is partly cultural thing.

Today is our first weekend after coming back to the routine work.I had plan to send few wedding pictures home, after getting them ready from photo shop; I went to our regular flitty, crappy, small post office, which beside the University.Whenever I go there I get upset the rest of the day. This time, I had to make a couple of ugly facial expression, as I was so irritated by that illiterate woman sitting behind the post counter.
I have had to ask for envelope and with no reason wait for a while and then she wanted her money back horridly and I told her wait till I am done and I pay with stamp and weight my envelope and then she couldn’t understand my Country’s name as usual (I spoke in Chinese ,Obviously).
Anyhow, their service is too slow; furthermore I had to be there twice this time for letters and pictures to send them to my family as we are not connected via Emails, unfortunately.

Yesterday we decided to go to the regular restaurant in our street and ordered the whole Fried fish dish which is precisely well done and mouth- watering.
We had noticed during the week that the young waitress had been changed .To me was common thing as it happened here more often, but after Wijbren’s discovery and investigation with the owner, who is his beloved friend, the case showed up those 2 poor girls are only12-13 years old.
Apparently instead of being at school left home and school and they claimed their parents had no charm and willing to keep them anymore and education is waste of time!
When ever these kind of sceneries pops-up, more often in small towns, close to countryside, particulary in Western part of China, brings me so much sympathy and grieve for some young nation. The ones, grows still fast compare to other countries and being so far from modern civilization, though.

Today is Sizdah-bedar.Well in Persian language we call it like that, which means 13 days after Noruz(Iranian New Year) is another celebration.
What do we do is very simple and nice.
We should get out house and go to the nature and send our lovely Sprouts, have made for new year into a running water. It is believed that "Joy" and "Laughter" clean the mind from all evil thoughts, and the picnic is usually a festive or happy event. In day like this we are not supposed to work or deal with any other official, finanacial assesses. Some people also pull practical jokes and tell white lies on this day, calling it the thirteenth lie (this is very similar to April Fools). People will also release goldfish into a pond or river.
This is an evil day which ,we take it easy and just have fun with family member .
tradition on the Sizdah Bedar, is the knotting of blades of grass by unmarried girls in hope of finding a good companion at these kind of celebrations. The other family members may also meet the others at the festival and find possible candidates for their unmarried daughters, as well as sons, and to make arrangements for their proper introduction. The knotting of the grass represents love and the bond between a man and a woman.
The point is I couldn’t do it for few years in China,as I was alone and finding a proper place is pain in butt, but thnis year I married and I could knot the grass!...
Touching someone else's sabzeh on this thirteenth day or bringing it home, therefore, is considered to be bad omen, and may invite other peoples' pain and hardship to one.
The most important thing is, it is supposed to be a nice day and the time before we put sprout into water we make wishes for health and blessing till next year.
The interesting part this year was, I did with Wijbren.
Well, as a matter of fact, in China literally we can’t find running water in the city districts. It not like Tehran, at least each park you hang find some water like small stream, or water fall or what so ever.
We have found a river (in fact most Chinese cities have rivers, but hardly pass through the city!) and then we made our wishes.
We could be in park and spend the whole day as Wijbren had classes to teach and our regular shopping day was next.

Today is our last day staying in Koln? Yesterday was a total long; boring day .We had to stick in the train for the entire day. We left Prague in the morning and had a couple of time train changing till get in afternoon to Koln.
We spent almost the whole day visiting the old part of Koln city, but I must mention that the old part of city does not exist anymore and already broke down with so many classical buildings, pathetically.
When I compare Prague to Koln, of course here you feel you re in a wealthy, rich country, but Prague is really beautiful because of big, old classical Cathedrals, churches, unique structure of Gotic, Barock Building and Museums.
Koln has nothing to express despite big, luxurious department stores and a few Museums, new bars and theaters with new style, which all are nice, but I am city girl so that I did some shopping’s and hanged out ,but Vienna and Prague were unique to my artistic feelings.
Anyhow, we are getting ready to go back to Holland tomorrow and pass by Utrecht and stay there for just few hours and hopefully see Marjan Zarrabi, after years and then by the evening back home to Friesland.

Thursday February 18, part two
Thursday February 18, part two:
Yesterday was the last day of chance to discover the city. We planed to get out of city center and explore the urban areas.Parauge as I mentioned before is famous for historical, Gotic classic buildings. There are plenty of castles, churches, but the best one as I am concern is the Prague Castle, which is located on the top of the hills and had a wild bird’s-eye view to the entire city.
By passing through the Jewish area and cross the river, then the Gosh Museum (which was a bit out of our visiting case), we spent couple of minutes on the country bridge between city residential and suburb areas. The were couple of tourist boats dangling around and so many tourist from East Asia, specifically. I was trying to keep the picture on the control, somehow.Anyhow, it was a bit of walk, but we did it precisely.
The problem was, we had to deliver it back within 2 hours and that was a bit pain.
The castle was very unique and inside was like a small residential area, wast and inside the main building completely exclusive.
Inside the main castle was kind of religious relatively and simply you could see the most Gothic, Barack style of colourful-transparant glasses and statues of saints, and Virgin Mary with whole old story of Christianity and Trinity. However, I did love the renaissance statues and admire them personally but it was so special and luxurious.
We spent couple of hours there and basically we done. We had spare time to spend in the bar and try hot wine and some beer and stroll back to our area and for the last time try pizza which was enormous and I couldn’t finish it.
Now we are sitting on the train back to Germany, which means have to be and change the train twice and spend the whole day pass through the entire Czech and Germany…….

Vienna second part:
Vienna second part:
We spent the early morning visiting another art, painting Museums which was a combination of van go and impressionists and naturalist artist with small amount of modern art as well.
I could rate for classic ones and in this museum mostly were watercolors form German, Austrian artist in 18 century, which mostly were in miniature style but drawing so much admiration in way as such a long hours working on a small amount of landscapes creating with a high value.
As we were passing, we bumped into a Europe Royal Crypt museum which sounds funky and creepy, but it was like a palace inside, don’t me I can say as beautiful as visiting a palace fully furnished.
Each single coffin had its own decoration and metal work, mostly bronze, silver and some gold; but very artistic work on crowns, skulls designs, and body of the coffins with other elements which were so amazing. Basically, all of those Crypts where magnificent and showed the whole Europe empire in 18 and 19 centuries in fact.
Some might think what the point of going to so many is or these kinds of museums, but maybe it is me, I don’t know. I do love to spend time in nature and gardens as much as being inside of art, historical museums.
We tried to make a balance between our days and Monday was a day for Fine art museums which was closed so we had to hit the Natural, history museum which was enormous, 3 floors and over than 20 halls in each, we approximately spend 3 hours there.
I am not fan of history and prehistory, fossils and Darwin theory of human existence.
The museum was a great experience of discovering the whole earth shaping, from all kinds of Granit to other gems stone, including the smallest reptile to Dinosaurs and it was a great pleasure, in fact.
I did like, the imperial garden, although there were plenty of snow everywhere, but it was nice and such a massive place with all statues and monuments, café bars, mazes to hang out and moreover, had a great bird’s-eye view of the entire city.
We spent our afternoon, evening valentine in a nice puppet show with Mozart music back ground and a pleasant dinner afterwards. that puppet show was telling a magical story of how a love affair story with the power of a magical flute and help of three angels reach t the climax and finally all the lovers will be forgiven and go back to their home.
That was really pity the show was in German and I could just get trough miming and gesture languets but still half pleasant of music and ambience and great vocals was worth visiting.
I must confess that I could finally control myself not to do so much shopping here at least, as the suitcase would explode the way back to Holland and to China as well, but there are a lot of tempting shops which drag you in with beautiful window decoration and so much stuff to encourage women to do shopping unconsciously.
We passed from ice skate rink and would nice to try a bit even I can’t do ice skating that much and a good excuse to try Hungarian sausages, which I advice, if you are in Germany or Austria you must try Schnitzel and sausages.
I do love to got to a nice concert here or opera or theater as well, but the prices are pretty high here, as we were passing by center of the city to reach to our museums we stumble by a church and found those commissionaires and one helped us to get a tickets for opera and ballet with concert include with a very reasonable price, and that was like such a gift in fact.
Now, I am looking forward to the show tonight which should be a good ending for Vienna before leaving towards Prague.

Wednesday February 17, 2010:
Tuesday, we got the train from Vienna to Prague. It was a long but exciting Journey, in fact.
We had to change train twice, our route passed from Slovakia to Czech Republic, but the point is my visa is Schegen visa type which means not valid in Solovekia.
Actually, they didn’t bother in any countries to check my visa, just check the global ticket and I had to pay 5 extra Euro for first class to pass thought the country, which means I could stay in that country for sometimes as then go over the boarder to Czech in fact.
Anyhow Wijbren was a bit worried about language, but we could find some tourist points and get tourist city card for metro and public transport as the one we got in Austria and Germany, but our Museum ticket was a bit expensive compare to the prices and value of currency in Eastern European countries, but we could use it for 4 days instead of 2 days and some places visit was free of charge.
We spent Tuesday night for going to the bars and tried Czech beer and hot wine, which are famous.
Wednesday, we got the tram towards city center and successfully visited Jewish area and temples around then we walked along the path with some towers cathedrals, churches, and bridges from 17-18th centuries. There are plenty of Art galleries and Museums in Prague and ambience is so alike Vienna, but in different characteristic way.
We have spent 8 hours walking through the entire city and National Museum in Prague is enormous and so good. It has a complete collection of fossils, birds, animals and reptiles for the whole pathology’s period, in fact.
I wanted to see Art-decorative museum as well, and that was not bad at all. We discovered the history of clocks and how it enter to the Europe and apparently Czech has a great reputation of making hot glasses and does have so much variety of them; in a very artistic style.
As a matter of fact, Pantomime or Black Theater is kind of special in Prague as well.
Actually, I must say puppets are totally well-known here as much as Vienna and we went to a puppet show in Vienna and here we saw almost the same quality of show and puppets. Wijbren was convinced not to buy puppets for now; we are moving and not settle down somewhere.

Monday February 15, 2010:
First part:
Today is the last day we stay in Vienna. We arrived on Saturday 13 in the afternoon from Salzburg. As the matter of fact, there are couples of trains’ from Germany to Austria and some come from Switzerland (Zurich).
Our train had couple of minutes delayed, so we got Zurich –Budapest train which via Salzburg came to Vienna. The good part of the story is, if you have a global pass train as we do, then you can get in and out to any trains during the period, which your ticket is valid.
Anyhow, Vienna is truly a center of art and music, as soon as we got out of Underground I did realized how unique the squares around us are.
Admittedly, in a lot of cities you can see old buildings, monuments and statues around, but the surprising part is that, in this city any corner of city is pre-wrapped with artistic atmospere. That means, as far as the city grows the government tries to keep the new constructions in a historical -cultural way, as before alike old time, which helps to maintain the old ambience of the city.
The first evening, we hanged out and did some window shopping. I must confess this city has a good taste for fashion and accessories as well as art and music.
Could find a couple of nice classic music for my dad and some violin’s concerts for myself to play. Sunday which was our second Valentine, but first after our marriage, was kind of special to spend in Vienna?
The whole day we were so busy, visiting the imperial palace and maze garden, which were include of couple of other museums inside, like children museums, and imperial carriage Museums.
The imperial carriage museums was fascinating showing more than 20 type of carts, carraiges for king ,queen and the entire royal family, children as well, which they used to sue for huanting, shopping, daily activities and travelling, which were all had their own specialty with a very high quality of materials.

Friday February 12:
Today was a very constructive day, as we started around 10 in the morning and got the bus to the center of the city the place we ended up yesterday evening and visited some places.
In fact, as I mentioned before Salzburg is a very touristic city; most of the places included castles, palaces, churches, shopping malls; museums are very close by each other.
As Mozart has made a great contribution to the Austrian and German music and art culture we saw so many places for ballet, opera, theater and concerts.
Unfortunately some places were closed and we could find couples of concert which were affordable to attend and visit.
We went to the Barock Museum, where they kept really classical 17 and 18 centuries Barock style paintings, sculpture, which was fascinating to see how oil spread on the canvases and such a tangible view of drafts, and edges on the canvases appeared which expressed how old some of those paintings are.
Actually, they haven’t tried to renovate in a matter of keeping them as new ones, just maintain them .In that museum we have been told that we could see a concert just in the afternoon by a solo violin and piano musicians.
Another interesting museum we went was toy museum where we could find about our childhood toys.
Actually, I discovered a bit more about my toys and how some of them could be interesting and luxurious, or somehow unique for nowadays for some collectors in Europe.
Then we passed though some churches and monuments and got some nice pictures from snow and how it wrapped most of the statues like a bridal dress.
There is a district in the center of the city which calls “Mozart District” where you an see the place where Mozart grown up and his instruments include his first violin and Piano, sonatas and all music notes from his first official works and his daily practice till end of his short life, letters he had made to his children .
There are pieces of advice for spreading their prodigy blood through their responsibility to the public, and donate it to the art world.
Besides all these we went up to the woods and hills and got the cable railway to the fortress Museum and palaces which are the highest part of the city and you can have a great bird view in fact.
It took us more than 2 hours to observe and scan all the art part which were include the story of history of Salzburg ,war time, arsonal traditional clothes and so on.
Afterward we hit St.Peter commentary which was a very fascinating place to be, even if nobody wants to be and see the momentary, but each ingle grave stone was great with special stones, decorated nicely and a lot of grave places there, were a complete family graveyard with the door leading you inside end to an small garden inside with beautiful monuments and statues of angels, saints and son on.
All those graves, tombs were ups and downs of the hill area covered by flowers and trees and bird’s statues.
Anyhow we tried even beer testing for Austrian special beer as well, and after a big glass of it, we were both woozy for a while.
Salzburg has a nice well down puppet show which worth visiting as well and Sound of Music shows which a bit upper class from the ticket and price but it gives you a unique, pleasant ambience of this artistic city.
We are getting ready to reach to Vienna for tomorrow with all excitement.

Thursday, February 11:
Today we have arrived Salzburg and our trip took approximately another hour from Munich. In fact, the trip was pretty short and comfortable. We were a bit worried and concerned about train arrival, as we have had a pretty much heavy snow fall from yesterday, more than 24 hours non stop.
I do love snow and especially during this month in Europe which is winter time. Actually, I am thinking, arrived in a perfect time, because a bit earlier they had a very sever bad weather and all flights or trains schedules were effected by heavy snow fall, but good enough for us to have a perfect wedding photo album.
Actually, this city is over crowded by tourists. I was wondering during this season shouldn’t be that many people over here, but from East Asia, Japan to North America, tourists were maneuvering in the streets here and the center of city was full of souvenir shops ,candy shops and especially Mozart’s chocolate, which is pretty popular.
We visited Mozart Birth place and Salzburg National gallery and Modern art and prehistoric Museum as well which was a great luck and chance ,cause all places are gather together very vlose ,walking distance. Afterwards, we shrewdly walked up to the hills and as time was short ,planning for tomorrow to visit the castle on the top f hill and get our free cable car and slide cart which should be great fun.
However, I should say there are over than 20 Museums in this small city. We found out to get a special card for 30 Euros and instead to be able to use it for all Museums free.
This city is really uniquely beautiful, as surrounded by hills, woods, castles, churches and tall classical buildings, most of the streets are covered by big breaks, stones and pebbles which are nicely done.Enourmous amount of cafés, mini bars, and fish shops are in every corner and a lot of shops selling traditional German, Austrian dresses from 19 centuries, which we are trying to find a reasonable one for me.

Today was a really exciting great day we woke up a bit late as last night we were out for late dinner with one of my old classmates. Manna Resvani, which some of you possibly remember her form primary school? Actually we arrived to Munich around 4 in the afternoon.
Tuesday was a total tiring day, cause the whole day passing through 3 train stations?
As we left Aachen, then we had stops in Hamburg and Koln and then we came down till Munich and we were a bit unlucky with 20 minutes delay as it is rare, at least in Germany.
Anyhow, the whole trip was so nice and looking at fields covered by snow and nice organized German houses. In the evening Manna took we to a very exclusive restaurant with her husband and we spent couple of hours talking about our childhood and old memories.
Anyhow, today Wednesday, we went to the train station and passed from the main station to the center of city, in fact Munich is big and has its special classic buildings, so similar to London, classical building and bridges, there are couple of Churches, Dooms and city town hall plus English Garden and Botanical Garden which are unique and worth’s visiting. The fact is the whole day was snowing and everywhere covered by snow and enormously unique picturesque sceneries for us and photography.
We hit the cheese market which had more than 40 types of Cheese and got some nice stuff there, afterwards hopped over the hills and sliding part of it having a walking tour and shopping street and local market was totally fantastic, though.
Actually, we are getting ready for Bavarian cuisines with special German beer for dinner which is unique in South part of Germany and then getting ready for our trip to Salzburg tomorrow.

Tuesday 9 February 2010:
We checked out in the morning and got the train to Munich.Actually, thew routs to Munich by train is a bit spiral and we have had couple of stop and turning points. The first stop was in Koln and as I had heard, it was a beautiful city.
Our track was a bit on the top of the hills, right afterwards we crossed over the country bridge, which gave us the best privilege of the whole sight seeing of the city. City with skyscrapers and other side wide river passed through the entire city and split it into 2 parts, nice, classic structure of 18th centuries’architecture, gives more classic ambience to the outskirts.
I am thinking over, about staying overnight there before we back to the Holland.
We had couple of more stops in Frankfurt and Hamburg and the way go down to the Munich will take approximately 5and half hours. The entire trip pass though woods or lands with half snow covering a light blankets the fields and rivers, some towns are hidden on steep alleys eth nice chimneys alerting us to consider their existence.
I do love the nature like that. So much different from sceneries in China and even Holland.
I am hopping to see me old class mate, Manna, after 25 years from primary school, meeting in Munich tonight and having a pleasant time.

As soon as we arrived in Aachen train station, we realized how small and historical the city is.
In fact, it was a 10 minute walking distance to get to the (Ibis) hotel, which has a great chain in Europe.
It is pretty much a cheap hotel, especially for couples, as it offers 2 nights with reasonable price in European currency and moreover, it is comfortable, located in the heart of the city.
After we got heal a bit from our 5 hours, (4 stops in different destinations, till last one), then we went for a short walk around the heart of the city.
Actually, we knew this city is in the heart of industrials art of Germany and very close to the boarder of Belgium and on the other side near South boarder of Holland as well; but I must confess how cultural and religious this city is.
In fact, this small city is so beautiful and well-known for its old, Romans style buildings and churches and domes.
We easily could walk around, in less than 2 hours in the most touristic areas and shopping districts, but we were desperately looking for a supermarket and hardly could see one.
Well, Actually on Monday when we were wondering around and discovering some other directions, we saw plenty of Kiosks, small supermarkets and health care around, even post office.
I tried to send 2 post cards home, but I was writing in Farsi and they use computer for post cards (new system) and told me the computers might not be able to distinguish the address on the left side, as they write on the write side. Good point and good to know from now!
Anyhow, I would strongly can say this city, which the cover of less than few mile has more than 5 churches and symbols of Christ every where hanging and glittering, is definitely, a very Christian, old, cultural city, which doesn’t attract too many international tourists, which is the good for us enjoying and drowning in the beauty of the nature and atmosphere, rather than being in a very big city, lost in crowd.

Sunday February7, 2010:
We eventually reached to the point to have our own free time for a real journey, which I love. We left Hallum(a town where we stay with Wijbren’s parents, in Friesland) and got our first train in Leeuwarden .
We were plenty of time ahead in our schedule and it was good ,rather than rushing and running to the station. Anyhow sitting on the first class it is nice though. we spent one hour and we had to change the train twice in 2 different cities and then we passed from the boarder and I had to spend a couple of extra Euro for international pass, which was duable. Our first stop changing train in Germany was Düsseldorf to Aken.
In fact Düsseldorf station was so nice and clean and variety of handy shops indeed.I do think maybe I have had the first time a great impression about Germany or it is really nice and organized I do enjoy passing each city by city in this country.
So now we are still in train going to our last destination Aken in less than an hour.

Today is the third weekend, we are spending in Holland. The first Friday afternoon we were woozy and slow and the second one was the big day for us, as we got married, and the third one was the day, again we came back from The Hague.
I am wondering how fast time travels, and how busy we are with things, which needed to be done.
To me always my trips and holidays’ time has been the busiest part of my routine life, even more than the time we are working.
We are going to pack today, again for the next 2 weeks, for our honeymoon vacation.
Actually, till now everything’s has been going fine, but some days seem so boring and tiring.
The Hague trip was perfect on its own. We booked a hotel near the beach and stayed there for 2 nights.
It was the second time that I was visiting The Hague, but actually the first great impression. Last trip we dropped off The Hague to reach to the embassy and visited Meduradam Museum.
In fact, this trip we booked a nice, cozy, homely hotel near the beach and coincidentally very close to the embassy as well. I was very impressed with the tram and Metro line which was so efficient and moreover the city appearance was nice, organised and so clean.
I didn’t like that much Amsterdam.
In fact, so many tourists first hit the capital, but for me once in one day tour visiting or maybe some other times have shortly visit will be more than enough. We were talking about houses and living conditions between the capital and government capital (The Hague).
It was so tangible that Hague is more tranquil, organised, and efficient; moreover, not crowded with hasty groups of tourists grumbling in the streets shops on and off and throw you a price and you might be ripped off easily, and things and rubbish reveal in the pavements, but I must confess Amsterdam is a beautiful city on its own.
We were lucky that our hotel was in a resort area which we could have view of the sea and walk in the beach and other side we could walk into the woods and natural parks which were massive and impressive.
Wednesday, we hopped into the tram and visit Iran embassy which was not the more terrific things you could do in our holiday, and as usual things in Iran start with “No” answer we were trapped as well.
I should say luckily, we had Islamic marriage and Wijbren converted to Islam but still 2 more documents which are no criminal record and health certificate were not ready, so we got the answer, we have to register there not in any other countries’ embassies. That was a sweet solid answer.
We are hoping if the police state result gets clear after our vacation we might hit The Hague one more time, to do official things in embassy and finish the long story.
In The Hague we have another National Museum, so alike the one in the Amsterdam. In fact we hit the Museum and it was established in the storeys and the paintings mostly were from Wimeir, one of local artist’s in 17 centuries in Holland.
Mostly the paintings were covered by oil in a very Dutch atmosphere with gray clouds and dark fields, covered by snow, stormy North Sea or big, heavy Dutch dinners and parties with long robes and dressers and some were black and white or Sepia color sketches, which were nice on its own.
We do enjoy staying in The Hague, admittedly.

Tuesday 2 February:
After we have finished the stuff related to wedding preparation then on Saturday afternoon things turned to be much of a relaxing time. Me and Wijbren, spent the whole Sunday with the family and played some board games and I was able to finish my pictures downloads on Face Book and things some how sorted out.
We went for a coffee and nice drive to another town and visit Wijbren’s grand parents which were a kind of surprise for them to see us and say we are married.
In fact, they can’t speak English even a word, but it was just a bit respect to be there for a short time.
Monday, we were so busy as in the afternoon we went to Groningen city, where Wijbren spent few years at university there and renew his driving license and we got some passport photos, in fact the receptionist was a friend of an Iranian who married here and I could talk on phone with her about our Islamic marriage in the Hague.
Then we found out some books to learn and practice Dutch a bit, which seem to me really good.
Moreover we meet Wijbren’s friend and his girlfriend and spent couple of hours eating and drinking and a bit shopping. Actually, those people were pretty nice and had reasonable English one working as physics in a company and another one as a clerk in art and entertainment center. They have pretty pleasant and nice job and life, which I hope one day me and Wijbren will have.
Today, I have had my dentist and it took me, one hour spending there and 4 teeth done. I still have another session for dentist in fact.
In the end of the day we must pack and get ready for Hague trip in fact.

Thursday November 26, 2009:
Today is the last Thursday of November which Means ‘Thanks giving tradition” for Americans.
Why I am mentioning it, is not just because I am fan of this occasion or..!
It is just due to my great experience of this day this year at Xian University.
In brief, I must confess I am lucky this term as last term to have a very understanding and mature students which hardly happen here or even other countries.
I presumably can say in China respect teacher, professors deeply, but when it comes to foreigners is a bit combine with joy and fun and feel a bit much more than expected freedom. No complain when I used to teach as EF school couple of times even kids gave me gifts for “Teachers’ day” and so on, but my adults tries to me very political and say happy blabla bla...
Anyhow I never minded and would receive a card made me happy in matter of at least they appreciate. I remember sometimes my colleagues were pissed off!
But here today owing to an American tradition, which is not related to us as foreigners and all my students know that very well, but by all means they gave me a very warm, nice surprise, a big bunch of flowers, with a nice post card with nicely written in it; moreover, a very beautiful Tibetan or Indian style necklace and bracelet and a great decoration on the black board, which was more than my expectation from them.
The point is I feel here, last term and in this term particularly being wanted so much and others show and express their responsibilities.

How much travelling is effective, constructive in your life?
What I am sure now is whatever or not dealing with and looking back into our childhood is like curving on a stone and pretty much comes back, illustrated your future life, soon or late we will see the result.
This is pretty hard to judge and claim or make it as a controversial issue for everybody, indeed, but I can say for sure how much effective was for me and my life nowadays.
I was kind of isolated and reserved person when I was a kid. Hardly, I had just few friends around and that was all.
I would prefer to creep inside of my mind and imagine things and create my own games. I was pretty busy with my visual art, as Music and paintings had no sisters or brothers and basically my Mum was the best friend I had.
As the matter of fact, my art activities and creative, solitary games which I was enjoying in my childhood were the best healing for my mind and constructing my mind for future.
It is not comparable with my life nowadays after teenager hood time, at all.
When I finished high school and chose art as major, things widely changed in my life and I was a very talkative, fairly sociable person and discovered how much I do love traveling.
Starting having exhibition and having intensive interview so many times for my art shows and was totally confident and relaxed to make proper touching, speech in front of T.V screen.

Recently, I am tackling a book written by Neil Germen’s. Actually I am not familiar with this writer and I was searching for some nice readable Novels or short stories then out of blue, I stumble in front of his name and searched for more information.
In fact, I chose one of his fition, crime novels which I scalled “Neverwhere”as brief telling story life of common man who lives in London and has an expensive fiancée and a nice apartment and routine dull job, like so many of us!
This story goes so far and has a deep describing society and life style of street people, warriors, crimnals and who ever lives in street and underground in a cover of a fantasy, mystrious tale.
Anyhow, finding a bleeding, half conscious girl on the pavement of one of London’s undergrounds, but ridiculously he finds out his life has totally changed or better to say upside down as nobody knows him anymore.
He loses his girlfriend and his apartment has been sold, or rented to somebody else in mean time helping that girl whom asked him and him reluctantly accepted makes things so much complicated and turn to a super natural phenomenon in fact.
The story goes so nicely and eye –catching and heart touching, some parts are really spine- chilling, and story in a mysterious way describe the London’s underground life style and back streets in a murky way.
It is a great mystery, fantasy novel and well written I couldn’t put it down till I finished it.

Wednesday 27 January 2010:
Tuesday we managed to contact the photo shop for our ceremony’s pictures.
In fact, we discussed about the picture’s size and the type of album, but unbelievably making a nice album, even without any embellishing stuff, or exclusive things would cost a fortune.
Anyhow it cost us a common, nice style album around 700 Euro, which is a lot, anyhow Hair dresser must be fun though, surprisingly a few places told us we don’t do make up, just we do hair!
Well, Today the weather has been pretty nasty the whole day and I am hopping we can manage tomorrow the time for hair dresser and camera man for Friday, which is our big day, besides we had to get out of bed so early without breakfast go to physician and do our health test process faster.
We would love to take some pictures beside the sea, but it could be a very bad weather, likely.
Actually in this season, we might have some difficulties to find a proper place to take pictures, but I do believe winter has its won beauty. Let’s hope things works on Friday, precisely.
It was actually nice to talk to the receptionist of our ceremony and have a nice cup of tea there.
She was a pretty nice, curious, middle aged woman with understandable English. We went through our story a bit and how we met and things in life, and in mean time I was wondering about her luxurious house which was enormous. I do believe most of jobs related to the government are well paid jobs and stable, steady job.
Another important thing which took us 2 days commute was our pre-nuptial agreement signing it, and then I had to fix our music for wedding, which I chose just 2 Iranian dance music’s so far.
